route zero

An important part of a corporate net zero strategy is compliance with carbon legislation. This involves comprehensive energy and carbon reporting, which can easily overlap with carbon footprinting and monitoring.

Our suite of compliance services will keep you compliant, maximise CO2 savings, and boost your
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) credentials

The following schemes encourage efficient energy management and carbon-conscious strategies:

Streamlined Energy Carbon Reporting

(SECR)
SECR aims to further incentivise the improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of carbon emissions. It also reduces some of the administrative burden of overlapping carbon schemes.

Climate Change Agreements

(CCAs)
Complying with the CCA scheme means you can receive a Climate Change Levy (CCL) discount on your electricity and gas bills. We’ll manage your compliance and regularly report on progress.

Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme

(ESOS)
ESOS provides a real chance to improve the energy efficiency of your business, on a continual basis. We’re now in Phase 3 of the scheme, with a compliance deadline of 31st December 2022.

Display Energy Certificates

(DECs)
DECs help to raise awareness of the energy usage of public buildings. All public buildings with a total useful floor area greater than 250m² are required to have a valid DEC and Advisory Report (AR) in place.

Energy Performance Certificates

(EPCs)
EPCs inform prospective buyers or tenants of the energy performance of a building, in the form of an A-G rating. They are valid for a 10 year period and there are financial penalties for non-compliance.

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards

(MEES)
MEES make it illegal to grant new leases to properties with an EPC rated F or G. We can help you improve your EPC rating so you can avoid non-compliance fines (up to £150,000).

TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections

(TM44)
TM44 is the accepted guidance for judging the efficiency of air-conditioning units in the UK. It was designed to support inspections to comply with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). TM44 can provide assistance to any building owner or manager looking to optimise their
air conditioning system.
